While fans all over the world were eagerly waiting for the Belgian Grand Prix, the rain in Spa-Francorchamps delayed the start significantly. Sebastian Vettel, however, continued to entertain the fans with various activities in the paddock.

During the long delay, the German took part in a soccer game against his compatriot Mick Schumacher.

The Belgian Grand Prix initially had a starting time of 3:00 p.m. local time. Heavy rain and treacherous track conditions repeatedly led to delays at the start of the race. Although an induction lap took place, the FIA suspended the starting procedure due to poor visibility.
When it continued to rain, all 20 drivers left their cars in the pit lane and spent their time in the paddock. Almost all of these activities claimed real estate on social media, including Vettel’s game against Schumacher.
Together with them, both drivers called on one of their team members to play with them. They used racks as goals and a small, light ball to kick around. Although Haas was leading Aston Martin 8-6 when they posted the tweet, fans have to speculate about the bottom line.

Vettel qualified fifth for the rainy Belgian Grand Prix
Despite difficult conditions in qualifying on Saturday, Vettel drove an impressive lap on intermediate tires to qualify for P5.

Although the German admitted that he could have done better, he had his best qualifying since joining Aston Martin. With conditions threatening the race today, Vettel finished in P5 after the FIA decided not to restart the race.
