Last year it turned out that Sebastian Vettel and Scuderia Ferrari would not continue their union. Instead, the Maranello outfit recruited Carlos Sainz Jr. alongside Charles Leclerc. In the meantime, after six years of working with Ferrari, Vettel has left for Aston Martin and a new adventure.

The German driver recently spoke to the AS newspaper about the Spaniard. According to Vettel, the 26-year-old driver deserves to be in the Ferrari. The two of them came out on top of the Red Bull Academy rankings and knew each other pretty well. So it was not surprising that the Aston Martin driver had glowing reports about Sainz Jr.
He said: “Carlos deserves the steering wheel he has. I’ve known him for a long time since he was very young because he went through the Red Bull program. It seems like a long time ago now, but it’s because he was very young when he arrived. He has incredible talent and he has developed very well as a pilot too. I think this is a great opportunity for him and I am very happy for Carlos. “

Sebastian Vettel was happy for Carlos Sainz Jr.
After the news broke last year, the German driver told Sainz that he was really happy for him. This is because Ferrari is considered to be one of the most famous teams in F1. Sebastian Vettel confessed that he was very fond of Sainz Jr. According to the four-time world champion, Carlos Sainz Jr. was also very supportive as a junior rider.
