Lance Stroll was downgraded to eighth place after receiving a five-second time penalty for overtaking Pierre Gasly off the track.
The Canadian initially finished seventh, but due to this penalty falls back to eighth place behind Gasly.
A stewards statement stated: “The stewards were informed of an alleged violation after the race.
“After reviewing the video and hearing from the drivers, the stewards conclude that car 18 was unable to complete its pass on car 10 at turn 2/3 without completely exiting the track and shortening and advancing turn 3 Car 10 to return to the track.
“Then he didn’t return the position. When the stewards heard from the drivers, they accepted that Car 18 was ahead of Car 10 at the point it was off the track, but that it was in that position due to a maneuver he was driving on due to the wet conditions Couldn’t run route. ”
Kimi Raikkonen was given a 30-second time penalty for violating the restart.
The Finn had scored Alfa Romeo’s first points of the season with ninth place and defeated the alpine duo Esteban Ocon and Fernando Alonso.

The incident occurred when Raikkonen was spinning around Turn 3 as the drivers ran behind the safety car after the red flag time.
According to FIA regulations, Raikkonen should have returned to his original position before the first safety car line, which he did not do.
Raikkonen’s penalty put Ocon in ninth place and Alonso in tenth place – the first points for the two-time champions of the season.
