It is a dark day for the world of motorsport when a Marshal lost his life after a terrible incident at the Brands Hatch circuit in the UK. F1 teams and drivers like McLaren, Aston Martin, George Russell, Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris and Damon Hill used Twitter to share their condolences as the family goes through this dark period.

Russell and McLaren share heartfelt message on the death of a Marshal

The marshals are present for the safety of all drivers while they speed around the track. They have often saved the lives of drives that have suffered terrible accidents. Most notably, last year Romain Grosjean had a serious accident in Bahrain; Because of the presence of a marshal, the French driver made it.

Hence, the motorsport world is in mourning for having lost someone ready for their safety. The Williams driver and Woking-based team used social media when they were sad to hear of a Marshal’s death.

I am so sad to hear that a volunteer marshal was killed at Brands Hatch yesterday.

These men and women give up their time so we can do what we love. We couldn’t do it without them.

My thoughts today are with her family, friends and colleagues.

Williams F1 assures that Aitken is uninjured after an incident at Spa

When the replacement driver was driving the Belgian route and driving up Eau-Rouge, he was involved in a terrible accident. In addition to the British, Davide Rigon, Franck Perera and Kévin Estre were also involved in the multi-car crash. However, Williams assures that he is fine, but that he was taken to the hospital for an examination.

It was a dark day for motorsport because there was a terrible accident in which a marshal was killed. The drivers are always grateful to them as they are there to ensure their safety. It’s always unfortunate when someone in the world of motorsport dies.
