LEWIS HAMILTON’s race-winning F1 car will be auctioned live at the British Grand Prix.
The world champion’s McLaren, which he drove to fame at the 2010 Turkish GP, will be driven at the start of the tender just before the first F1 sprint qualifying race for Silverstone.

It is the first time any of Hamilton’s winning racing cars have been put up for sale and it is expected to cost over £ 4million.
The McLaren MP4-25A has a # 1 chassis and can continue to be powered and supported by the original factory teams as part of each of the heritage departments on the circuit.
Kate Beavan, F1 Director of Hospitality and Experiences, said: “We are excited to extend our partnership with RM Sotheby’s on the announcement of the first sale of a Lewis Hamilton F1 GP winner.
“The timing of the sale couldn’t be better, a little more than ten years after Lewis’ race victory in Istanbul, the car will go on sale at Silverstone, the home of Formula 1 racing.
“After the great success of our Abu Dhabi sales in 2019, at this special event we will actually be auctioning an F1 car while it is being driven on an F1 circuit.
“It’s an incredible stage to sell this legendary car on.”

Hamilton made a strong start to the 2021 F1 World Championship after winning three of the first four races.
