This groundbreaking concept will include 3D NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) inside and outside the game world. The NFTs will be based on collaborating artists and celebrities such as Hamilton, Grimes, Snoop Dogg, and others.

A non-fungible token is basically like a virtual reality version of trump cards or trading cards. In other words, an NFT is a digital medium that is protected by a secure, digital certificate of authenticity and that can be bought or sold.

Jadu announced that the NFTs will go on sale on December 12th for 0.222 ETH (Etherium), as reported by Forbes.

It is a great honor for the team to work with some of the most creative and determined minds of our time to create these ultimate artifacts of the future.

The game will allow users to use and create 3D NFT avatars from people like Lewis Hamilton. Then they can deal with the three-dimensional physical world and space in order to navigate using means of transport, again as NFTs.

“NFTs have a reputation for being overpriced JPEGs. It is important for us to show that AR is an exciting new way for us to get in touch with our space and our planet, ”said Asad J. Malik, CEO of Jadu.

Lewis Hamilton isn’t the only one from F1 involved in NFTs

Hamilton’s name and his 3D NFTs associated with this project are sure to add to its popularity. But big names from Formula 1 have already won the Mercedes driver for this “first”.

At the beginning of the 2021 season, the Aston Martin newcomer team announced their new sponsor Crypto.com. With its new partner, Aston Martin sells content such as videos and media pieces as NFTs.

Aston Martin’s chief marketing officer, Rob Bloom, stated that they are trying to do things “a little differently.”

“This is about creating something that is both relevant and desirable,” said Bloom.

As digital media evolves into a new, prominent medium, sports teams perceive the changing landscape. Recently the legendary Staples Center in Los Angeles was also renamed the “Crypto.com Arena”.

The sports world is clearly recognizing the growing importance of things like cryptocurrency, NFTs, etc. Admittedly, there has been some criticism of this new direction.
