Vettel one of the most important drivers on the Red Bull trip: Horner

After David Coulthard, who played a pivotal role in F1 in the early days of Red Bull, Horner believes Vettel is one of the most important drivers in Red Bull history.

On the Beyond the Grid podcast, he said, “Sebastian was obviously the next successful guy to hit, and the level he’s reached has been phenomenal.

“When was its climax?” the interviewer asked, to which Horner replied: “2013, 9 wins in a row.”

“I think the environment we gave him made him feel loved and he felt the team supported him and we were able to get the best out of him.”

Red Bull has named a building in his honor

During the podcast, the Red Bull team boss revealed that the Red Bull team has announced that it will name three of its divisions at its headquarters in honor of 3 people, including Sebastian Vettel.

It’s no secret that Seb has a knack for the technical side of Formula 1. He’s still giving his team detailed feedback on the car, which, according to his teammate Lance Stroll, can make the debriefings quite long.

And even during his time at Red Bull, the German studied data after every racing session and brought it with him to the next race, which of course was very useful for everyone involved.

So when the team had to decide which building should be named after Vettel, they knew right away.

“We also have a Vettel building in which our data centers are located. And that’s because Sebastian was so obsessed with data and it felt right to have a Vettel building, ”said Horner.
