After a long search in the 2020 season, Sebastian Vettel has found a place for the coming season: Aston Martin F1. According to Eddie Jordan, the team made a huge mistake in doing this.
Even before the season had started, Vettel immediately received the bad news from Ferrari. From 2021 he will have to look for another employer. This news immediately triggered a landslide in which several drivers changed teams. Because of this shift, there seemed to be no place for Vettel in Formula 1 for a long time, but this doubt was over after Racing Point – from this year Aston Martin – announced the German as a newcomer.
The team is thrilled to welcome a world champion to their ranks, but according to Eddie Jordan, there is absolutely no reason to be happy. “I like Vettel a lot, but I think Aston Martin made a mistake when he signed him. The last two years against Charles Leclerc at Ferrari have been miserable. I don’t know why he looked so bad, he did after that won four world championship titles. ” But I think he’s past his prime. I would have kept Sergio Perez, “said the former team boss in an interview with F1-Insider.com.

You never know what’s inside. Sometimes it drives well, sometimes it drives extremely badly. It’s far from constant, ”concludes Jordan. Whether Stroll can keep up with Vettel will show in March when Formula 1 starts again.
