Cognizant becomes the title sponsor of the Aston Martin F1 team

The IT consulting giant Cognizant has entered into a multi-year partnership with Aston Martin’s new Formula 1 team. The news came when the historic British car brand announced a surprise return to the Grand Prix grid after six decades of no sport.

Aston Martin is a British independent manufacturer of luxury sports cars and grand tourers. The legendary automobile brand was founded in 1913 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford. In all of its 107 years of operation, however, the company was only involved in the Formula 1 racing seasons. In two somewhat shameful years between 1959 and 1960, the brand’s first open-wheel racing car – the DBR4 – couldn’t collect a single point in either campaign.
