Aston Martin’s luxury cars have been synonymous with the Bond film franchise for over half a century, with the British maker set to again showcase the upcoming film slated for release later this month.
To mark the upcoming release of the film, Aston Martin’s F1 team has unveiled special branding for its AMR21 car for the Italian Grand Prix this weekend in Monza.
The team will drive with 007 logos on the side of the cockpit in place of the Aston Martin logo, while their RV and hospitality units in the paddock will sport Bond graphics and iconography.
Drivers Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll will take part in a social movie where they compete against each other to build a Lego version of Bond’s iconic Aston Martin DB5, while the team also works with director Daniel Kleinman and composer David Arnold Bond worked -inspired place.
“Aston Martin is part of Bond’s DNA,” said Kleinman. “It’s a partnership that needs no explanation, so it was great fun merging these two worlds: Bond’s signature title sequences and Aston Martin Formula 1. I hope it will cause a lot of excitement before the film comes out.”
The Aston Martin brand made a full return to racing in Formula 1 that year, but this isn’t the first time there has been an overlap with its ties to the Bond films.
Current Bond actor Daniel Craig was seen at the Aston Martin launch event hosted by Quantum Solace Bond girl Gemma Arterton.

Aston Martin isn’t the only team driving with an optimized paint job this weekend. Alfa Romeo announced on Wednesday that it would optimize its design to celebrate its home race in Italy.
The team’s logo on the engine cover and airbox will be adapted for this weekend to incorporate the colors of the Italian flag and celebrate Alfa Romeo’s 111-year history. The drivers Antonio Giovinazzi and Robert Kubica will also start in a special racing suit design.
