Aston Martin has unveiled a full-size Corgi model of James Bond’s famous DB5, as featured in the upcoming film No Time To Die.

A month before Bond’s latest debut hit theaters, Aston Martin packed one of their DB5 Continuation Goldfinger Edition cars into a life-size corgi box, complete with working gadgets.

The toy maker produced a model of the DB5 that featured in the 1964 Goldfinger series and has made replicas of most James Bond vehicles since then. The DB5, referred to as Corgi model number 261 and painted in gold instead of Aston Martins Silver Birch, was last reissued in 2014 to celebrate Goldfinger’s 50th anniversary on the big screen.

The full-size car was unveiled outside Battersea Power Station in southwest London this morning (August 31st) at an event attended by Chris Corbould, a special effects technician known for his work on 15 James Bond films, and the boss from Aston Martin participated creative officer Marek Reichman.

The DB5 Continuation is a newly built, fully functional vehicle that takes 4,500 hours to complete and has a real bulletproof screen from the trunk, rotating license plates, realistic front-facing machine guns, smoke screen, navigation system, and even a roof panel that are removed can to simulate the ejection seat of the original. Despite being off-road and priced at over £ 2 million plus tax, all 25 Aston Martin-built examples have been sold.

The event also featured a custom built DB5 stunt car from No Time To Die.

Aston Martin also took advantage of the event to see a new ad celebrating its ongoing partnership with the James Bond film franchise. No Time To Die features the DB5, complete with updated miniguns behind the headlights, along with a classic Aston Martin Vantage, the new DBS, and the company’s upcoming mid-engined supercar, the Valhalla. All of this was present and correct at the event this morning, along with an Aston Martin F1 car and the DB10 used by Bond in the Specter film.

However, only the DB5 remains on display in its Corgi box outside of Battersea Power Station, where it can be viewed by the public until October 1st.
