Aston Martin is looking for 250 employees to expand the F1 team

Vettel celebrating second place in 2021 Azerbaijan Grand Prix

Aston Martin has signaled its intention to become a frontrunner in Formula 1 by recruiting 250 additional employees to reinforce the existing team contingent at the Silverstone plant.

Fresh from his popular podium with Sebastian Vettel’s second place at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2021, team boss Otmar Szafnauer revealed the team’s upcoming plans in an interview with F1.com.

He said, “Since we were Force India we have added a significant number of people. The new factory is on track, we’ve already started construction, and it’s a big, big program to recruit even more people.

“We’re now at about 535 people and we’re going to be about 800 or whatever the right size below the cost cap, and we’re now strategically working on it and trying to recruit like-minded people who want to work.” Aston Martin Racing and Races highest level.

“The recruiting process is going well,” added Szafnauer

Over the past decade, Mercedes has won the majority of its wins, Red Bull is now getting a glimpse more than ever, and Ferrari is also a challenger during this hybrid turbo journey. But the reality is that the gap between the haves and the non-haves has been way too big for too long

Szafanuer explained: “We have a bigger gap to the teams in front than to the teams behind and we have to do a good job for the rest of the season, bring in more upgrades, understand the car better, make the drivers even more comfortable.” And so on Fight as hard as you can to get as high in midfield as possible.

“It won’t be easy for fifth place either, but we’ll do our best,” concluded the Aston Martin team boss.

Last year, form was broken when Pierre Gasly won the Italian Grand Prix for the first time, and Sergio Perez, who took over the business for the Lawrence Stroll (then Racing Point) team at the 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix.

New week, new opportunities.

We are in it together.
