Team boss Otmar Szafnauer said: “Since we became Force India, we have gained significantly more people. The new factory is on track, we’ve already started construction, and it’s a big, big program to recruit even more people. We have about 535 employees now and we’re going to be about 800 or whatever the right size below the cost cap and we are now strategically working on it trying to recruit like-minded people who want to work for Aston Martin Racing and race at the highest levels. The application process is going well. “
The Aston Martin team has big plans for the future
Although the Silverstone team is sixth in the championship, they are making good progress. Aston Martin is currently two points behind AlphaTauri and is trying to close the gap to the other teams. Szafnauer is aware, however, that the outfit still has a long way to go.
