The Silverstone-based team announced the signing of Red Bull’s aerodynamics boss in June, despite Red Bull making it clear that Fallows would not leave Milton Keynes until his current contract expires in 2023.
Aston Martin CEO Otmar Szafnauer said the team was “still negotiating on Dan’s start date” but confirmed the plan is to bring Fallows on by the start of next season.
“Our goal is to get it started as soon as possible and sometime in the first quarter of next year,” added Szafnauer.
“So if it is the beginning of the next season, it will be in the first quarter of next year. Hopefully we can start it in this timeframe. “

Aston Martin is also bolstered by the early arrival of its new Alfa Romeo Technical Director Luca Furbatto.
“Luca will be with us in weeks,” said Szafnauer. “Like everyone else, they have their notice periods to exercise and so on. So within weeks, Luca will be free to start with us. “

Szafnauer insists that Aston Martin’s recruiting campaign will put the Silverstone team on the right track to meet their goals of becoming a title contender in the years to come.

Szafnauer said the team is pleased with the initial progress they are making with their new car for the next year.
“It’s really, really hard to say because you don’t know what the other teams have found and they are very well-kept secrets,” he said.
“What I can say is that we have set aggressive but achievable goals and we are on the right track to meet those aggressive, achievable goals. We still find good profits every week.
