Alfa Romeo on Kimi Raikkonen is more motivated than ever
The Iceman is one of the most experienced Formula 1 drivers on the grid. At the age of 41, Raikkonen had 329 races and is continuing his third season in a row with Alfa Romeo. The team’s director, Frederic Vasseur, explained the Finn’s motivation to keep racing.
“It’s just a matter of commitment and motivation, and the commitment is still there and Kimi is more than motivated. I am optimistic about the future, ”concluded Vasseur.

He also announced that Kimi Raikkonen could stay for the 2022 season, but the team is looking forward to playing the seasons one after the other.

The current motivation for the team is to focus on climbing the championship. As a customer of a Ferrari engine, Alfa Romeo also suffered from problems with a castrated engine last season.
The deal between Ferrari and Alfa Romeo should end towards the end of the 2021 season. However, the couple is believed to have reached an agreement and extended their partnership until 2025.
