Shortly after the Haas VF-20 launched, Alfa Romeo’s C39 was the second car to be introduced at the Circuit de Catalunya. Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi peeled the blanket off their 2020 challenger less than an hour before the cars were parked for pre-season testing.
The C39 was seen camouflaged in a special “snakeskin” paint job for Alfa Romeo’s day of shooting last week, but the team had planned a full reveal on the first morning of testing before the season.

Raikkonen who could become the most experienced F1 driver
F1 veteran Raikkonen, who broke Rubens Barrichello’s record for the Grand Prix this season, scored 43 points and was 12th in the table last season. Finnish team-mate Giovinazzi finished 17th in his first full season with 14 points. Alfa Romeo took eighth place ahead of the other Ferrari customer Haas.
While maintaining the same driver line-up for 2020, Tatiana Calderon is the team’s test driver this season, while ex-Sauber, Williams and Renault racing driver Robert Kubica were confirmed as reserve drivers in late 2019. The Pole will drive the C39 on the opening morning of the tests in Spain.
