To say the British Grand Prix was action packed would be an understatement. Alfa Romeo’s Kimi Raikkonen was part of the action as he drove through the track in P10. Shortly before the checkered flag, on lap 47, Red Bull’s Sergio Perez came into contact with Kimi Raikkonen, which threw him off the track, causing the Finn to lose positions and finish in fifteenth.

After the race, when his race engineer said it was a great shame to lose a points place, the iceman Raikkonen made his frustration known in the airwaves.
“Maybe we have to make the car fast. It’s impossible to fight them. “He added,” The same, the same and try to fight with the other cars. Come on … we have to wake up and do something. ”

Kimi Raikkonen had a decent weekend at Silverstone. He was seventeenth fastest in qualifying, but finished thirteenth in the sprint. His team-mate Antonio Giovinazzi was on Sunday 13th. Without the collision with Perez, Raikkonen would have surpassed his team-mate and also collected points.
Silverstone weekend for Kimi Raikkonen
The Alfa Romeos seem to be picking up speed – both drivers finished in the top 15, apart from the qualifying of Raikkonen. The cars were also among the top 15 in free practice. A pretty consistent weekend for the team and it could have been better if Raikkonen had crossed the finish line with points in his pocket.
In an interview, he stated that it had become difficult to sit in front of someone in the car. “I watch more mirrors all the time than I look forward. The race is just an attempt to defend ourselves … we have to be faster. ”

Raikkonen is hoping for more, even if he has improved his pace. He described the problem as bluntly as always – “just too slow and so simple.”
The Finn has had a decent weekend, but nobody wants decent either. Raikkonen is a world champion who was once at the top, and 15th place must frustrate the veteran.
