Ilott will drive one of three participants in the GTE-Am class, which are used by the Iron Lynx Ferrari team, for which the Briton is driving in the GT World Challenge Europe this season.
Ilott will drive the # 80 Ferrari 488 GTE together with regular GT player Matteo Cressoni and last year’s Michelin Le Mans Cup GT3 winner Rino Mastronardi.
Iron Lynx will also use his all-female Iron Dames streak for Sarah Bovy, Rahel Frey and Michelle Gatting, while Claudio Schiavoni, Paolo Ruberti and Raffaele Giammaria will drive the number 60 car.
Having already seen GT races with Iron Lynx at Monza and Paul Ricard this season, the start at Le Mans from August 21st to 22nd was an opportunity that Ilott couldn’t refuse.
“It is a real honor to drive for Iron Lynx and Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans – and an opportunity that I just couldn’t turn down,” said Ilott, who contested two free F1 practice sessions for Alfa Romeo in this one Season as part of his test driver role for the team.
“There is a long tradition of British drivers doing well there and I want to make my own contribution to Le Mans history.”

Iron Lynx team boss Andrea Piccini, who started for the team at Le Mans last year and finished second in class in 2006, will retire from driving at this year’s race.
However, he believes Ilott will prove to be a valuable addition to his Le Mans driver line-up.
“Callum is a great addition to our driving strength,” said Piccini.
“We were incredibly impressed with his versatility to switch to GT racing with us and look forward to working hard together in the coming weeks as we prepare for Le Mans.
“We equally enjoyed watching Sarah progress with us in the Italian GT Endurance, Michelin Le Mans Cup and FIA World Endurance Championship, so she deserves her chance on a bigger stage.
“Of course I will miss not racing this year, but I will be able to concentrate fully on our team.
“The Callum Le Mans race further strengthens our relationship with Ferrari and the Ferrari Driver Academy, and since Iron Lynx started working with Prema just a few weeks ago, there has been a world of opportunities across all racing disciplines.”
Ilott will join the Iron Lynx team for the Spa 24 Hours from July 29th to August 1st, before shifting focus to the Le Mans 24 Hours.
