The Formula 2 race was quickly abandoned and the rest of the field returned to the pits.

It started again 40 minutes later before another crash and a red flag brought it to an untimely end. Australian Oscar Piastri declared the winner as his world title approached.

Enzo Fittipaldi was born in Miami in July 2001 and completed kart racing at Charouz Racing through levels up to Formula 3 in 2021.

In September he entered Formula 2 for the second half of the season and made his debut for the Czech team Charouz in Monza.

He finished seventh in race 2 in Jeddah on Saturday and scored his first points in F2.

From 2017 to 2020 he was a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy. His grandfather Emerson won two F1 world championships with Lotus and two years later with McLaren as the youngest champion in 1972 at the age of 25.

Enzo’s older brother Pietro (25) made his Formula 1 debut with Haas at the 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix, replacing the injured Romain Grosjean.
