The outfit, which is operated by the Swiss Sauber team in Hinwil, will wait until February 19, the first day of testing in the preseason, in order to present its new C39 car to the public for the first time. The start will take place at 8.15 a.m. local time on the Circuit de Catalunya-Barcelona.
In addition to racing drivers Kimi Räikkönen and Antonio Giovinazzi from 2020, the team’s new reserve driver, Robert Kubica, will also be present at the unveiling of the car. The Alfa F1 team is now called “Alfa Romeo Racing Orlen” after Kubica’s Polish supporter PKN Orlen signed a multi-year deal.

Kubica moved to Alfa Romeo in the off-season after also holding talks with Haas and Racing Point after his departure from Williams was officially confirmed towards the end of the 2019 season.
The team took eighth place in the 2019 constructors’ championship. This was the second full campaign led by team boss Frederic Vasseur, who can be seen in the fire video.
