Max Verstappen threw a few punches in a viral video ahead of the 2018 Mexican Grand Prix. The Dutchman trained and took lessons from Jorge “El Travieso” Arce, who demonstrated the correct stroke technique.
A fighter both on and off the track, Verstappen was spotted boxing in a Red Bull social media promotional video ahead of the 2018 Mexican Grand Prix. The Dutchman played alongside Jorge Arce, the seven-time boxing world champion in various weight classes. Arce put Verstappen through their paces and taught the Dutchman the correct punching technique and basic combinations.
Jorge Arce is the second boxer from Mexico to win world titles in four weight classes, after Erik Morales, who achieved the feat just two months earlier. Arce had Max Verstappen punch a punching bag, correcting his technique if necessary, before wishing him the best of luck at the end of the short video.
Verstappen won the Mexican Grand Prix in 2018, ahead of Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Räikkönen, who finished second and third.

Max Verstappen is known to “fight” with an aggressive driving style on the track.
Max Verstappen: “It’s a super fine line to say that you’re too aggressive or it was a great move. That always happens in F1 and it will always stay and it’s always easy to judge and say something in life afterwards . “

It’s no secret that Max Verstappen’s driving style is rather aggressive, as he’s known for pushing the limits of his Red Bull F1 car. Experts like Martin Brundle have questioned his driving style, claiming that he has to make sure that his driving level does not drop too far below what is required in sport. Brundle said after the chaotic Saudi Grand Prix that saw Lewis Hamilton collide in the back of Verstappen:
“I think Max Verstappen has to think about his driving standards. You were too much today. There is aggressive, determined, spirited racing and then there is what we saw tonight, that was too much. “
The 24-year-old has defended his driving style, commenting that he feels that F1 is more about penalties than racing. After the Saudi Arabia GP, he said:
“This sport is more about penalties than racing. For me this is not Formula 1. But at least the fans liked it, and I gave everything today, but clearly not fast enough, but still satisfied with second place. ”
