Red Bull Racing F1 driver Max Verstappen isn’t exactly thrilled with the appearance in the Netflix reality TV series Drive to Survive.
The second season of the Netflix series, with behind-the-scenes access and interviews, kicked off on February 28. Verstappen says the show took at least some of his comments out of context.
“I don’t think it was the real me. The problem is, they always position you how they want,” Verstappen told ABTalks as he is portrayed. “It’s a show. Whatever you say, they’ll try to make you look inconsiderate or make you whatever fits the story of the show. It’s all about excitement, and it has to be exciting, so they position you and whatever goes with it. ” the consequence.
“They are interviewed and they also use the words in different circumstances so it never really fits. I never really liked that. I prefer to just have a one-on-one interview with the person who wants to get to know me.”

Verstappen remains a controversial figure who doesn’t hide his preference for a plain speaking person over PR or politics.
“I like to be just myself,” said the Red Bull Honda driver. “I speak when I have to speak and when I have nothing to say I won’t say anything. I don’t think I’m showing a lot of emotion. I’m just easy going, but I’m also very determined to win.
“I try to do everything I can because my life is my passion. Sometimes it may seem arrogant or whatever, but I’m there to win.”
