The Minnesota Timberwolves drafted former Georgia guard Anthony Edwards with the first overall pick in the 2020 NBA draft. Two years later, the Atlanta native is thriving both on and off the court.
Edwards averaged 21.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.5 steals for the Timberwolves during his second season and recently landed a role in the Netflix film Hustle, starring Adam Sandler.
On Wednesday, a video of Edwards heaving a football down the field with ease began circulating on Twitter. After making the throw, the former Bulldog jokingly said he was trying out to be the Falcons’ new starting quarterback.

Several Falcons fans welcomed the idea, while others took it as an opportunity to roast Vikings QB Kirk Cousins.
