Jeddah wants to get to know F1 weeks before the first Saudi Arabia Grand Prix

JEDDAH Saudi Arabia is preparing to host the premier class of motorsport for the first time when the Formula 1 STC Saudi Arabia Grand Prix 2021 makes its long-awaited debut in Jeddah on the weekend of December 3-5, which will be the city’s residents with a taste of what to expect when the famous Red Bull Racing RB8 F1 speeds into town to perform live in front of thousands of motorsport fans on the city streets, just three weeks before the biggest sporting and entertainment event ever took place in the kingdom.

The Bride of the Red Sea will witness an exciting live show by the acclaimed Red Bull Racing RB8 car on Friday, November 12th at 3:30 pm on the glorious Jeddah Corniche (Waterfront). The event is free and open to all participants; Fans are encouraged to get to the Corniche early so as not to miss anything!

The Red Bull Showrun is expected to attract an audience of eight to ten thousand and will be held under the auspices of Prince Khalid Bin Sultan Al Abdullah Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF) in partnership with the Formula 1 STC Grand Prix of Saudi Arabia 2021, Ministry of Sports of Saudi Arabia, SAMF and the Quality of Life program – a key element of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision.

This spectacular demonstration gives residents of the city the opportunity to experience the electrifying atmosphere, energy and excitement that make Formula 1 the most famous and prestigious motorsport series in the world.

Visitors to the water can watch the same RB8 car that four-time F1 world champion Sebastian Vettel and his former teammate Mark Webber drove so successfully in 2012, helping Vettel and Red Bull secure the F1 drivers ‘and constructors’ championships, respectively, with an overall year 7 wins, 14 podium places, 9 pole positions and a total of 460 points!

Racing enthusiasts and purists alike will enjoy the unforgettable roar of the 750-horsepower V8 engine as the title-winning RB8 speeds along the Jeddah coast in front of their eyes.

In fact, the event is not limited to just impressive demonstrations of the Red Bull Racing F1 car, it also features an incredible motorcycle stunt show that, in addition to a classic car parade, will delight spectators that will delight fans big and small and ready for arrival Formula 1 on the Jeddah Corniche Circuit in just a few weeks.

The Formula 1 STC Grand Prix of Saudi Arabia 2021 is set to celebrate its F1 debut from December 3rd to 5th, the fastest street circuit in the world – and among the five fastest F1 tracks overall!

In fact, the F1 stars are expected to reach top speeds of up to 322 km / h as they race towards Turn 27.

With no fewer than 27 corners, the Jeddah Corniche Circuit stretches over 6.175 km, making it the second longest circuit on the current F1 calendar and the longest street circuit in the sport after the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.

In addition, three consecutive sections of the route have been designated as potential DRS zones in order to offer the drivers numerous overtaking opportunities throughout the race. The fact that the race takes place under lights at night will only add to the fantastic atmosphere that F1 fans can expect in December.
