The unveiling of Red Bull Racing’s new car, 2021 RB16B, is set to make its first appearance on the track this week when Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez will put it through their paces for the first time at Silverstone. The RB16B will also mean a kind of swan song for Honda in F1. Red Bull Racing will take over the operation of the Japanese manufacturer’s engines from 2022. This process is supported by an engine stop recently agreed between the teams and currently set and will last until the end of 2024.
Perez and Verstappen will test the new car at Silverstone before driving it to pre-season testing at the Bahrain International Circuit from March 12-14, two weeks before the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 28, 2021.
