The 2021 Bahrain Grand Prix was an absolute classic with an epic duel between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen for race victory. The seven-time world champion held the nerve to keep the flying Dutchman in check and eventually win his 95th Grand Prix. The win was sweeter for Mercedes as Valtteri took P3 and the point for the fastest lap of the race.
The Bahrain Grand Prix had exciting battles across the grid. In midfield it was a great race for McLaren when Lando Norris finished P4 as “Best of the Rest”. The Brit held Sergio Perez back in P5, who started the race from the pit lane after having problems with the car on the formation lap.
It was also a great performance from Yuki Tsunoda finishing P9 and scoring two points on his Formula 1 debut.
The Bahrain Grand Prix was one of the best season openers in recent history and a fantastic start to the 2021 Formula 1 season.
