The 2021 FIA F1 World Championship is just around the corner and teams have more than two months before testing begins.

Before that, however, these teams will present their cars for the upcoming campaign for the first time at the kick-off events. Based on the information available, here are the confirmed and likely car names of the F1 teams for the 2021 season:
1) Mercedes – W12 *

The defending champion’s car in the 2020 season showed exceptional consistency. Since they have little reason to change the new campaign, the possible name F1 W12 could differ from its predecessor W11.
2) Red Bull Racing F1 – RB16B

With the changes coming in 2022, Red Bull will be using a modified chassis and so has likely named its car the RB16B.
3) McLaren F1 – MCL35M

The proposed name MCL35M, building on the foundations of the earlier MCL35, could likely produce the same results in 2021.
4) Aston Martin F1 – TBA

With a new name that changes from the previous Racing Point identity and livery and awaits all F1 enthusiasts, it is a real mystery how Aston Martin would go on naming their cars.
Could AM1 then be a possible name for Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll’s cars?
5) Alpine F1 – A521

The transition from Renault to Alpine teased the fans with the showcase of their noble intermediate paintwork and has now called the car “A521 F1”. Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon would of course drive the cars, with a full paint job and a car start apparently also scheduled for next month.
6) Ferrari – SF21

Ferrari keeps the original scarlet livery and hopes 2021 brings some luck to their SF21!
7) AlphaTauri – AT02 *

8) Haas F1 – VF-21 *

Although Haas will have a brand new driver line-up, the name of the car in 2021 shouldn’t be a big change from the existing model. Hence, Haas could possibly name his car “VF-21”.
9) Alfa Romeo – C40 *

As one of the oldest teams in Formula 1, Alfa Romeo’s simplicity prevails in this department. So it may not come as a big surprise when the team names their 2021 car “C41”.

10) Williams – FW44 *

Founded by Sir Frank Williams in 1977, the car coincides with the year the team was formed. On the way to his 44th year, Williams could very well name his car as “FW44” in the upcoming campaign.
