Russian GP Tips – Use Your Mega Driver Powerup
Want to get your hands on some of these brilliant awards? You need to get your team in tip top shape for the Russian GP. Here are some tips before the race in Sochi.
Now is a very good time to play your second mega driver powerup of the season as Lewis Hamilton has both a racing and qualifying series. If he reaches the top 10 positions in qualifying and in the race, he will receive 15 extra points. A Mega Driver Powerup multiplies that by three and puts you in the overall ranking.
DISCOVERED: The driver you voted the most impressive in 2020
Lewis Hamilton scored 15 extra points in Russia. That makes him a first-class mega-driver candidate.
Other drivers in qualifying who scored five extra points are Hamilton’s Mercedes team-mate Valtteri Bottas, Max Verstappen from Red Bull and McLaren’s Carlos Sainz. Sainz, with over $ 15 million, could be your midfield pick this week – and he took an excellent sixth place in Sochi last year – so give the Spaniard a turbo driver powerup if you can afford it to buy him.

If you can’t afford Sainz, don’t fret. Sergio Perez is a good bet in Russia, costing less than $ 10 million at the time of writing and getting four solid F1 fantasy results. He doesn’t score big (Bar Tuscany thanks to races and qualifying strips), but he scores consistently. He was also featured on Mugello’s Team of the Week, which is listed below.
The Tuscany Grand Prix Team of the Week was provided by J Ostojic who fielded Hamilton as the mega driver and Perez as the turbo driver for 381 points!
Also note that Daniel Ricciardo has three consecutive top 10 qualifications and races. If he continues this run, he will receive 15 extra points at the Portuguese Grand Prix.
Home driver Daniil Kvyat is another one to watch out for as he has two consecutive top 10 finishes this season and costs just under $ 10 million. Kvyat and Ricciardo were also on Team of the Week from last week’s race – as shown above. Click here to get your team ready now – or log in if you haven’t already.
