Mexican Grand Prix favourites

Max Verstappen (-175)

Despite claiming his second straight World Drivers’ Championship a few weeks ago, Max Verstappen remains the clear favorite in every race he gears up for. This week in Mexico is no different.

In a display of pure dominance, Verstappen has won 13 of 19 races this season and made quick work of the Drivers’ Championship while helping Red Bull claim its first Constructors’ Championship since 2013.

Charles Leclerc (+450)

While Leclerc impressed at certain points, this season quickly turned into a rather huge disappointment and with Max having the title wrapped up, Charles finds himself racing for second place (two points up on Perez).

The Ferrari youngster has three wins on the season, none of which have come in the last three months. He’ll look to change that this week in Mexico City.

Sergio Perez (+450)

All eyes will be on Sergio Perez, who returns to Mexico for his home race. As a result, his odds are seeing a nice boost up to +450.

Last year, he became the first Mexican driver to claim a podium finish in the Mexican GP and this year, will look to improve on that mark with what would be his third victory of the season (Monaco, Singapore).

Understanding F1 betting odds

The most popular way to bet on Formula 1 odds is by simply picking the winner of a particular race. Other popular F1 betting options include which car/constructor will win and whether or not a particular race car driver will end up on the podium with a Top-3 finish.

F1 race odds usually look like this:

This means that on a $100 bet, you’ll stand to profit $1,400 if Perez wins that particular race. If one driver is especially dominant, you might see a minus sign (-) ahead of that driver’s odds like this:

This means that you would need to bet $120 to win $100 on Verstappen winning the race.
