According to Vurbmoto’s injury guide, key competitors including Justin Barcia, Benny Bloss, and Jack Chambers were out with various injuries as teams prepared for the next national and postseason events.
Barcia reported extreme soreness as he prepared to miss the San Diego Supercross Round 2 on Jan. 17. Benny Bloss was also out with a broken wrist sustained during press day before the opener, with an expected recovery time of five to six weeks, the guide said. Garrett Marchbanks was listed as out after suffering a concussion earlier that week while testing. Malcolm Stewart dislocated his shoulder in the Anaheim crash alongside Barcia, but Racer X reported he planned to compete in San Diego. Jett Lawrence and Jordon Smith were also confirmed as absent for the event by Vurbmoto.

In the 250SX class, Jack Chambers was ruled out of the San Diego round due to a wrist injury from Anaheim 1, according to the same injury guide. Hunter Yoder sustained a partially torn ACL in a tip-over before the season opener but raced Anaheim 1, finishing eighth in the 250SX main event. Yoder planned to continue competing despite the injury. Julien Beaumer and Jo Shimoda were also listed as out for the San Diego event.

Race Day Live was scheduled for Jan. 17 at 1 p.m. ET on Peacock, followed by The Night Show at 7 p.m. ET on Peacock the same day. NBC was set to air a second Night Show on Jan. 18 at 7 p.m. ET. Looking ahead to the 2026 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship, the 14th round is scheduled for April 16 in Cleveland, Ohio. Racer X reported that a rider named Anderson was dealing with an ongoing thyroid issue that limited his riding time and had temporarily stepped away from racing. Another unnamed rider was scheduled for ACL surgery that week. Swoll was confirmed out for the season after injuring his right Achilles tendon in Birmingham. The 250SX West Division is set to resume racing on May 2 in Denver, Colorado, according to the update.
Racer X also noted that rider Mumford was undergoing treatment for ongoing shoulder and arm issues ahead of the Cleveland round. The report did not specify a return timeline but included the information as part of the round-by-round injury list, indicating it was relevant to event participation.
