When Lewis Hamilton remembered his ex-girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger

Lewis Hamilton remembered his ex-girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger in a 2017 social media video. The driver dated the Pussycat Dolls pop star for seven years before finally breaking up their relationship in 2015.

In the social media video, Hamilton could be seen hearing a song that Scherzinger apparently sang for him. The video is from the 2017 Bahrain Grand Prix.

When the couple was together, Scherzinger could often be seen cheering on the Brit from the paddock. She was in attendance when Hamilton won his first world title in 2008 and was seen hugging the driver afterward.

Why the couple separated after seven years of marriage remains unclear. However, the seven-time world champion indicated that the F1 lifestyle was a key factor. He said:

“It may be a little different in that we travel as much as we do and you are only gone for crazy times. So that’s probably extra weight that makes it really, really difficult to keep a good relationship going and when things aren’t quite perfect. “

The Mercedes driver had told the Sun in 2017 that their breakup was due to their relationship getting in the way of his love for cars. He said:

“My cars are my babies. When I had a girlfriend, I always said, ‘I’m going out with one of the girls, so you can come if you want, but you’re second with the cars. “

Hamilton has remained single since then, despite rumors of a date with numerous celebrities like Gigi Hadid.

Lewis Hamilton had a bad 2011 season finishing fifth in the Drivers’ Championship despite being competitive up until then. The Briton ended his management relationship with his father Anthony in 2010, saying this affects him on a personal level. His father had been his manager and mentor throughout his racing career, back to his karting days. The then McLaren driver said about time:
