After Valtteri was informed of the pole position by his race engineer, Valtteri expressed his joy on the team radio.
“Oh yes, haha. Oh thank you. Yes, nice one, Viva Mexico. We’re going to get tacos tonight. “
But that wasn’t the only time the Finn hinted at his love for tacos. In the press conference, he boasted of his ability to eat a large amount of the Mexican dish.
“I had a couple of tacos here. They are a little smaller than what you can get in Europe. I think if I had them for breakfast, lunch and dinner – just tacos – I would say I can 30. That’s an estimate, ”joked the Mercedes driver.
Since he announced that he would be leaving the Mercedes for Alfa Romeo next season, we have seen Bottas more relaxed. Not only has his performance on the track improved, but his fun side is showing up on social media too. He actively participates in memes and appears frequently on Mercedes’ TikTok account.

“We need to talk to Lewis about how we as a team can maintain the lead and leave the Red Bulls behind. You never know what the racing situation will be like. I am 100% sure that there could be a circumstance that I can still win the race and I believe in it, I hope so.

“But if not, then I’ll support Lewis and get the maximum number of points for us as a team,” said the Mercedes driver.
Bottas’ role would be crucial at the start of the race because he would be the driver who provided the slipstream for everyone. The team would have to position both cars in such a way that they both benefit from the start while leaving their rivals behind.
