After the press conference meets, Russell and Ricciardo again spread joy during the post-qualifying interview in Barcelona. While Russell was giving his interview, Ricciardo popped up from behind smiling to surprise the young Briton. However, after Ricciardo left George to finish his interview, the interview took a funny turn.

Russell was telling the reporter about the P4 qualifying for the Sunday race. So, he can relax after qualifying to which the reporter told George to get a massage from the McLaren driver. Then, George looked at Ricciardo and said, “Yeah… I don’t know where that would lead to. I think we’ll leave it there.”
George Russell might be a threat to Lewis Hamilton
The 24-years-old joined the Brackley base this season, replacing Valtteri Bottas. Further, the young Brit got to team up with his idol and the seven-time world champion, Lewis Hamilton. It’s not easy to team up with the 37-year-old. Only Nico Rosberg was able to give Hamilton a hard time as a teammate.
However, the young Brit is outperforming his veteran teammate. Russell has finished ahead of Lewis in the last four out of the five races. It seems now the German constructor might be prioritizing Russell over Hamilton.

But Mercedes giving more importance to George can threaten Hamilton cause he’s been their number one driver for years. Recently, Hamilton snapped at his Mercedes engineer during the Saturday Practice session in Spain, when Bono told him sector time given to him were of George Russell and not the fastest driver on the grid.
Hamilton told his engineer Bono, “I only ever want to know the fastest times.” This reply from Hamilton has led many fans and experts to speculate that Russell might threaten Hamilton.
