Valtteri Bottas unveils special helmet for the Brazilian GP & it is the most typical design of Mercedes F1 drivers

Valtteri Bottas criticizes the nature of his Mercedes F1 contracts

When you think of Formula 1, you think of two things, dangerously fast cars and lots of sponsors. Of course, drivers don’t have many ways to express themselves through their bodies or clothing, except for one thing; her helmet. Before the race in Brazil, Valtteri Bottas unveiled his helmet.

In a video that the Mercedes driver posted on Twitter, he explains his thought process and his messages for his unique helmet design at the Brazilian Grand Prix.

Brazil is the world’s largest exporter of coffee beans, so the Finn took the opportunity to pay tribute to the country while expressing his love for coffee.

“I just wanted to appreciate coffee because I love good coffee and it’s a great passion for me.”

The helmet is beautifully decorated with the various graphics depicting coffee beans, coffee plants, coffee making methods, coffee art and a special message on the back.

“First I drink the coffee, then I do the things”

Bottas claims that he does.

Valtteri Bottas wants to recover in Brazil

In Mexico, Bottas probably had one of the worst races of his career.

After securing pole position, Bottas immediately drove behind “enemy” Max Verstappen (who eventually won the race) and then suffered a fall, an eternally long pit stop and a goal outside of the points.

A miserable race got worse when Toto Wolff blamed him for Verstappen’s first lap change.

So Valtteri Bottas might have a thing or two to say if he gets behind a falling Mercedes car in Brazil. He has had a mixed set of results, with a win in 2017, a P5 in 2018 and a DNF in 2019 at Interlagos. But this year the stakes are as high as possible.

The need for a great race, and great means a great 1-2 result, cannot be overestimated for Mercedes. Both Mercedes and Bottas will hope to get all the coffee energy (and mash) to at least finish both cars on the podium.

Bottas, who is leaving the German team, will pursue two goals, one for his team and one for himself.

Fortunately for Mercedes that the directions of these two goals are the same, a great result.
