The end of the British Grand Prix started a long two-week hiatus before F1 finished the eleventh season of the season at the Hungarian Grand Prix. For most drivers, it should have been a rather quiet Sunday last weekend. Valtteri Bottas was not one of them.

Although the Finn wasn’t in the races last weekend, he didn’t lack action thanks to his girlfriend Tiffany Cromwell. The Australian is part of the ongoing 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, where her battle for gold is due to road cycling.
The 33-year-old kicked her heart into the pedals on Sunday and hoped for a medal for Australia. Unfortunately her dream fell short when she finished a distant but very impressive P26 in the last race; Anna Kiesenhofer from Austria won the race with a lap time of 3:52:45.

Tiffany finished the race in 3:55:41, just three minutes behind the gold medalist. Bottas, however, offered his girlfriend enough support on social media throughout the race.
How did Valtteri Bottas and his partner react after the event?
After the end of the race, the Mercedes F1 driver wrote: “So proud. #Never give up. “Similar to the Finns, there was also a positive reaction from Tiffany herself, even though she had refused a medal in Tokyo.
She wrote, “What a day, what a race. This is the 2020 Tokyo women’s street race, finished and dusted off. We started the race with a strong team with big ambitions and big goals.
“Unfortunately, our race didn’t go quite as we’d hoped. But this is a bike race and sometimes it goes perfectly, sometimes you get hit by curveballs. “

After Tiffany’s outing in Tokyo came to an end last weekend, the spotlight returns to Bottas, who is looking forward to the Hungaroring racing weekend later this week. The Finn has been a constant podium contender this season but has yet to win one race.
Since Bottas is the only Red Bull and Mercedes driver who could still claim a win, he will be pushing to do so in Hungary at the weekend. Of course, it seems like a stretch to win the race amid the Red Bull threat, but can Bottas defy the chances of taking P1?
