Nico Rosberg, who made a significant contribution to winning the 14 titles, made it clear that as team manager he would never return to the F1 paddock.
Why could you ask? The German found Wolff’s job to be extremely intense, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. And Rosberg worked with Wolff for over 4 seasons. This may later have made Rosberg hate the idea of running an F1 team.

Doesn’t speak to me: Ex-Mercedes driver
As reported by Formule1, Rosberg spoke about the chances of seeing yourself as part of an outfit in the paddock. “That doesn’t really appeal to me. That would be too much for me, ”said the 35-year-old.
“It’s a full-time job: morning, afternoon, evening, all day. When I see how hard Toto works. That’s not for me. I want to avoid that in my life. I experienced that as a driver, this intensity and dependency, and I don’t want that again, ”added Rosberg.

Rosberg came to Mercedes in 2010 together with seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher. The German had to wait 6 seasons to finally realize his dream of becoming a world champion.
Additionally, the Mercedes driver did so in style at the very end of the season in Abu Dhabi, when Lewis Hamilton was desperate for ways to sabotage his race.
My career as an F1 driver is over: Rosberg
The German made it clear that he would never return to Formula 1 as a driver, even if a team came up to him with an overwhelming offer.
“I finished my career the way I wanted to, with a world title. I am happy with my new life. So that thought never crossed my mind and never will. That’s over, ”said Rosberg.

Rosberg is currently investing all of his focus on Extreme-E, an all-electric off-road racing series in which he owns a team. What’s more interesting is that his childhood rival, Hamilton, also runs his own team.
However, both drivers stated that they wanted to make a contribution to combating climate change. Can the duo rekindle their rivalry as team owners in Extreme-E despite the diminishing odds against fallout on the track between the two?
