Former F1 world champion Nico Rosberg called on his former team because it had used too much front wing. After the French Grand Prix, Toto Wolff and Christian Horner were interviewed together.

Wolff accused Rosberg of having “sewn” us up at the FIA. Interestingly, Rosberg drove for Mercedes from 2010 to 2016. In his last year in Formula 1, he won the world championship with the Silver Arrows.
Rosberg, while making Panditry for Sky, asked Horner about his reaction to the ‘Flexi Wing’ drama. Wolff humorously interrupted Horner’s answer to call his former driver.

As mentioned by Planetf1, Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff Rosberg interrupted immediately when the ex-world champion wanted to get the Red Bull boss’s reaction to the Mercedes Flexi front wing.
This came after the FIA ran tests on the rear wings of several teams including the Red Bull.

“So Christian… Toto and other teams put you on the rear wing and you had to change that. Mercedes is still flexing more than average on the front wing, what are you going to do about it? ”Asked Rosberg to Horner.
“Yes, it’s basically a payback. Today was repayment for him and Barcelona [Toto] will also get the front wing in a few weeks, ”said Christian Horner.
Wolff replied by making fun of Rosberg: “Are you sewing us together ?! We paid you well for many years! ”Said Wolff.
Nico replied hilariously: “Let me stand in the middle of you two.” Horner recognized the irony and asked Toto cheekily: “Isn’t Nico still in the books?”

Toto Wolff expects the FIA to test the Mercedes front wing soon

The “Flexi Wing drama” between Mercedes and Red Bull seems to be over soon. As the FIA performs teats to check the flexibility of the front and rear wings of the cars. Red Bull has had their rear wings checked and Wolff expects Mercedes to have their front fenders checked soon.
He’s just waiting for the new front wing rules to be introduced by the FIA soon. He just expects the FIA’s teats to be stricter than before.
