BERLIN (Reuters) – The German software company Teamviewer announced on Tuesday that it has signed a five-year sponsorship deal with the Mercedes Formula 1 and Formula E teams following the latest jersey contract with the football club Manchester United.
TeamViewer, a remote connectivity provider, is shown on both the cars and the racing suits of the drivers of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team, led by world champion Lewis Hamilton and the Mercedes EQ Formula E team.
Goeppingen-based Teamviewer said the cost of the deal was factored into the latest downward revision of its profit margin forecast for this year when it announced its shirt deal with Manchester United earlier this month.
