ROKiT Venturi Racing Formula E team boss Susie Wolff says she believes Christian Horner let his emotions boil over at the British Grand Prix and seeing Lewis Hamilton win the race must have been tough for the Red Bull boss after his “hard.” to be observed ”driver crashed early.
Red Bulls Max Verstappen, who had a 33-point lead at the beginning of the weekend, collided heavily with Hamilton on the first lap of the race and hit the crash barriers hard.
Hamilton received a 10-place time penalty for the incident but won in front of his home fans and reduced the gap to just eight points en route to Hungary.
Verstappen then got into another tangle on the first lap, this time Valtteri Bottas got out of shape in the first corner in Budapest and annihilated Lando Norris, Sergio Perez, with Verstappen sustaining serious damage to the right side of his barge.
Horner branded Hamilton as “desperate” and a “dirty driver”, while Red Bull’s chief advisor Helmut Marko demanded that the seven-time world champion be banned from racing because of his involvement in the accident.
However, Wolff rejected any suggestion that his driver didn’t deserve his victory at the British Grand Prix, adding, “A win is a win” and that they “put it on the scorecard and move on”.

At the Formula EE Prix in London before the Hungarian Grand Prix, in which your team with Edoardo Mortara, admittedly team boss, finished 9th and 11th, you have to keep your emotions in check.
“It’s always difficult to put yourself in other people’s shoes,” began Wolff and spoke exclusively to Express Sport.
“Of course he has [Horner] was very excited at the moment, but as a team boss you have to take the emotion out of the way and obviously stand above it and make your emotions heard.
“I think you have to be very careful in these cases and not let your emotions run wild.
“I think if in the end it came down to the point of view of someone who was very emotional at that moment and it was obviously difficult to watch Lewis win the British Grand Prix and what made me so proud, the whole thing to see? space has broken out.

“And I think that played a big part of his or his energy and his will to win the race but in the end it’s great for the sport, everyone is talking about it, I think it will go on” a big rivalry between the both drivers. “
Despite Hamilton’s sentence, many believed the accident was a racing accident, including former F1 driver Jolyon Palmer and Sky Sports F1 expert Karun Chandhok and Wolff was inclined to agree.
“Everyone will have their own opinion,” added Wolff, who has been married to the Mercedes boss since 2011.
“In my opinion it was a racing incident, 100 percent a racing incident. But in the end, I can also appreciate that two people have different opinions on this and everyone you ask has an opinion on what I think is polarizing. But it’s great for sports. It was a great drama, a team. And the most important thing was that Max was fine.
“I think it’s always important to know that everyone has their own perspective.
“And of course the Red Bull lost their huge lead in the championship on the constructors and drivers that day.
“So of course the emotions were high and the drivers had their perspective on who was right [and who] was wrong.
“And in the end you have to take it for what it was and move on. We all have our own ideas and we all try to be successful.
“The sport is under a lot of pressure to succeed, but I think it’s about understanding that there is a lot of rivalry there.
“But staying respectful and respectful is the main word because I think if the emotions go up it’s fine because it’s in the heat of the moment, it’s competition, but just be respectful.”
Hamilton leads Verstappen into the summer break with an eight point lead, and racing will resume in Belgium at the end of August.
ROKiT Venturi Racing Formula E team boss spoke at the Formula E London E-Prix, in which two Britons, Jake Dennis and Alex Lynn, were crowned winners.
“Every team in Formula E has UPS and Depths, Unfortunately the format the Not Yes, really make possible Per it to Be constancy, “added Wolff.
“But we have got the season the end to on Great start with on Podium and obviously weather want to make Another Podium.
“So I think we have Yes, really shown What was able to by Bthe end from Course, it is the is where at the The End from the Championship.
“That is What we have got to focus on now for the remaining four Run, but I think we have definitely did on big step forward how on Team.
