Alonso had limited involvement in the development of Alpine 2022

Drastic engineering changes to next year’s F1 cars aimed at improving racing mean a number of teams have focused on deeply developing the design of their 2022 cars.

When asked how much commitment he was able to have on next year’s car over the entire season, Alonso replied: “Not a lot to be honest.

“To be honest, all the designers and simulations were watching the development,” explains Alonso.

“The new regulations were too restrictive at the beginning, so there were a lot of clarifications about what we could and cannot do with the FIA and the like. So it was a strange new project for everyone I think. So now, from December, January, we’re going to start working in the simulator and hopefully our implication will be a little bit more. “

Rosberg X Racing wins its first Extreme E title

Molly Taylor and Johan Kristoffersson won the first ever Extreme-E Championship at Jurassic Xprix in Dorset in the fifth and final round of the inaugural season.

Rosberg X Racing secured the title, although it tied on points with the X44 team of Cristina Gutierrez and Sebastian Loeb due to the most lap wins of the season.

The X44 team took victory in the Jurassic Xprix, which took place around the Bovington Tank Range in the English county of Dorset, with Gutierrez and Loeb leading the entire final on the muddy course. Taylor and Kristoffersson were able to secure the points they needed for the championship in fourth place.

The result is that Rosberg X Racing owner Nico Rosberg takes the honor against the X44 team owned by his former Mercedes F1 teammate and rival Lewis Hamilton.
