The Australian made a sensational move from Red Bull to Renault for the 2019 season before moving from the French team to McLaren ahead of the current season.

In the summer of 2018, as he pondered his future, Ricciardo felt that a move from Red Bull would improve his chances of winning a World Cup. Ricciardo, however, has yet to contribute to the seven Grand Prix victories he has accumulated during his five-year tenure at Red Bull.

Red Bull is currently 44 points ahead of Mercedes in the constructors ‘championship, while Ricciardo’s former team-mate Max Verstappen is 32 points ahead of Lewis Hamilton in the drivers’ championship.

“I don’t regret it,” said Ricciardo before the British Grand Prix this weekend at Silverstone. “I made every decision for a reason, and every decision you make is a time or moment in your life that is right or best at that point in time.
