Three Formula 1 teams stayed at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya this week after the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday to test Pirelli’s 18-inch set of tires for 2022.

Alpine, Alfa Romeo and Red Bull will take part in the test on Tuesday and Wednesday, hosted by the exclusive tire supplier to F1.

The Alfa Romeo and Red Bull teams will be on the right track on both days, while the Alpine team will only be present on the first day of negotiations.

This is the fifth test this year with 18-inch tires and the fourth with slick tires.

At the beginning of this year, Ferrari Pirelli’s test program started with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz in February on the Jerez de la Frontera race track and in March on the Bahrain race track, in which the Alpine team also took part.

In Imola last month, the Mercedes took part in a two-day test with Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton. The reigning F1 world champion will be in action for Pirelli in wet weather tire tests at the Paul Ricard Circuit at the end of May.
