She also praises the hard work of the mechanics who come early every week to build a converted W12. “The work is meticulous so that the car and the entire weekends run smoothly.”
Cullen also praised the Silver Arrows and everyone involved in the champions’ success. “This team is great and the work and energy they put into each race weekend is inspiring. After working with them, we are a big family. “
Mercedes is going to Sochi
The title tension is at an all-time high. RedBull and Mercedes almost had a poetic weekend in Monza. While both championship protagonists were out of the race, the second drivers fought for the podium. Sergio Perez crossed the finish line behind Lando Norris but was pushed to fifth after a five-second penalty; Bottas stood on the podium.
The lively battle between the two teams and their drivers undoubtedly made the season a lot more interesting. But Sochi is getting closer; the Russian GP will mark eight rounds until the end of the season.

It could be time for cleaner races, however. Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff explained his concerns. “Both have to give each other space, compete hard against each other, but avoid accidents. It’s been a lot of fun so far, but we saw how Halo saved Lewis’ life today and Max had that strong influence at Silverstone and we don’t want to get into a situation where we intervene because someone is really getting hurt. “
