Formula 1 has the top 20 drivers in the world going wheel to wheel against one another. It takes years of practice and personal sacrifice to become part of the pinnacle of motorsport. Each driver’s aim is to become the world champion, but it comes at a cost. And something similar happened with Charles Leclerc in 2019.

He ended his 4-year relationship with the model, Giada Gianni. She revealed the reason behind the duo parting way in to Instagram Live. she said “Charles left me. He wants to devote himself only to Ferrari.”

For 2019, Leclerc signed a multi-year deal with Ferrari. The Italian constructor has been in the sport since 1950 and and they offered Leclerc the longest driver contract in its history at that time. This gave him the boost to put his heart and soul into becoming the world champion while wearing the red racing suit.

Formula 1 races in a new city every weekend. This put Hamilton in a long-distance relationship with his partner. For him to deliver elite performance week in and week out, he also came at a cost in his personal life.

Briton commented on it by saying “It’s similar to most sportsmen and women. It may be slightly different in that we are traveling as much as we are, and you are just away for crazy amounts of time.”
He went on to say how it can prove hard to keep a lasting relationship.
