Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes W-12 has caused a lot of displeasure in the Red Bull camp this season. The Briton’s incredible speed on the straight is worrying title rivals. The last participant in this conversation, however, is Jos Verstappen, former F1 driver and father of table leader Max Verstappen. Jos has raised concerns about the vastly superior car that Hamilton drives.

It is noteworthy that the Briton achieved successive victories on the Interlagos and Losail circuit. He marched through midfield like a beacon in Brazil and won 25 positions over the weekend to win the Grand Prix. He also finished the race in Qatar 25.743 seconds ahead of the Dutchman.

The former F3 champion spoke in the style of Red Bull boss Christian Horner while addressing the topic. He recently called on the FIA to look into the rear wing of the W-12. Red Bull has been addressing this topic for some time.
They suspect that the rear wing of Silver Arrows bends more than the prescribed limit of 85 mm. It is noteworthy that Hamilton overtook Max Verstappen’s Red Bull at Interlagos on lap 58 at a relative speed of 30 km / h, which took this whole debate to another level.
Jos Verstappen commented on this in a recent interview with the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf. “I’ve never seen this big difference on the straights from race to race in my life. I think the FIA should keep an eye on the situation, ”Jos said, as Formulapassion reports.

The Dutchman made wild reproaches to rival Mercedes after the Brazilian GP. And while the two riders are fighting wheel to wheel on the track, things weren’t as professional on the outside. The team bosses have their necks on every potential problem they find in competing cars. In the meantime Jos has made it clear that he likes to lose if it’s a fair fight.
Nevertheless, he went one step further with this conversation. Jos firmly believes that Mercedes has a trick up its sleeve that doesn’t conform to the rules. “It seems to me very strongly that you are doing something that is not allowed,” said the Dutchman, as reported by PlanetF1.

Mercedes quickly refuted claims about the steering wheel and rear wing. This fight is expected to go to the end at the Yas Marina Racetrack in Abu Dhabi. Hopefully things don’t escalate too much.
