The report by David Kent was called out publicly by BBC presenter Nick Knowles for partiality when referring to the 2 F1 greats. Kent in his report does not mention “Sir” even once in front of Hamilton’s name when both Stewart and Hamilton have been knighted by the Queen.

Can you spot the difference? Both Lewis and Jackie are knighted but David Kent chooses to use the honorific only for the three times WDC not the 7 times WDC?
What could be the difference between them to diminish one in this writer’s esteem?

This has the entire internet up in arms over the bias displayed by the journalist. Furthermore, the fans have all been expressing their discontent with the report.

Here is @MrNickKnowles holding the press accountable for disrispecting Sir Lewis Hamilton again. He did the same with the #AbuDhabiGP fars.

You never see this from F1 journalists. They just write about his jewellery.

Good on you Nick

Why don’t you address him with the title given by the queen? Don’t you respect your Queen or just not

It’s Sir Lewis Hamilton. At least get your facts straight. Embarrassing that an adult doesn’t know when to put respect. If you don’t respect him its fine, least respect the title that was given to him by the Queen !Why wait for his response? You think lewis is jobless like you ?

I’d say *Sir* Lewis Hamilton is much more of an F1 icon than Stewart, and certainly a more respectable role model. https://t.co/mVHLBX408S

Of course, the fans of the sport have wasted no time in calling out the report and the reporter, and rightly so. The 7-time world champion is a true icon of the sport and arguably one of the greatest drivers to grace the circuits.

Calling Sir Jackie Stewart by his title but leaving Sir Lewis Hamilton’s title out is saying the quiet part REALLY loudly,

Nothing extraordinary about Jackie’s comments on Sir Lewis Hamilton. Any teenager who follows the sport, knows the frustration & deep grief that Sir Lewis Hamilton’s earned success has caused Jackie Stewart.
No big story here.

Although, Hamilton is having a subpar season by his high standards. He is far from finished when it comes to performing at the highest level and Stewart’s comments about his compatriot seem to be uncalled for.

Stewart went on to add “He’s got music, he’s got culture, he loves clothing and the rag trade would be absolutely suitable for him.” providing alternatives for Hamilton after his racing career.

However, Hamilton’s performances suggest that he is far from finished. Yes, the Britton has struggled under the new regulations. However, the package he has been provided has been far from the best that Mercedes are so used to producing.
