Future Mercedes driver George Russell says he has some concerns about Williams’ speed after battling for pace in recent races towards the end of the season.

After Russell scooped his first points in Hungary, Russell ran a breathtaking run in the rain-soaked Belgian Grand Prix of qualifying in the front row in an uncompetitive car just a week after boss Toto Wolff called for him to get promoted would up to partner Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes.

Russell was also impressive in Russia after qualifying third in Sochi, knowing that his fate would now rest with Mercedes for the next season.

In the last few races, however, Williams found himself back at the bottom of the grid, fighting with Haas.

The Briton, who is known for his outstanding performance in qualifying on a Saturday, has also fallen behind. He didn’t make it out of the first part of qualifying in Brazil and struggled at the end of the timeline in Q2 in Qatar.
