Formula 1 fans can look forward to a lot
The 2022 car won’t be the only novelty everyone can expect. As it turned out, the first ever Formula 1 sprint race will take place at the British Grand Prix next weekend. The sprint race is a shortened race of just 100 km, with the final results declaring the starting grid for Sunday’s race.

Of course, there is still a traditional qualifying to determine the sprint race line-up. However, this takes place on a Friday after a single training session. On Saturday there is another training session before the sprint race, on Sunday the main race. Of course, Red Bull and Mercedes will be favorites as the former is in good shape.
The latter has meanwhile generally proven itself well on the Silverstone Circuit. No other team can be ignored, however, as McLaren and Ferrari are pretty much resurrected. Although they are not yet on the level of Red Bull or Mercedes, they are dark horses.
