It was another frustrating qualifying session for Mercedes F1 and Lewis Hamilton was dejected after setting just the seventh fastest time in qualifying.
“Everyone is working for improvements,” commented Hamilton, who will start fourth after grid penalties are taken into account.
« 4th on the grid? Yes, but the gap is monstrous. I feel like I’m back at the first Grand Prix of the year! We came here very optimistic, we could be close, but to be 1.8 seconds behind is a real kick in the teeth. »
