The seven-time champion is a man of many talents. In addition to being an ace at the wheel of his Mercedes F1 car, Hamilton is also a racing driver and owns a number of high-end sports motorcycles.
In addition to learning to play the guitar, the 36-year-old also tried skydiving and learned new stunts.
Hamilton posted a video trying to do some stunts while skydiving in Dubai. He revealed that this was the first time he tried to fly on his back, something he was “useless” at.
“I’ve learned how to skydive in the past few years. It’s one of my favorite things to do in my spare time. This is my first time trying to fly on my back which I was useless at lol.” The British racing driver has subtitled his post.
Hamilton added that he also spent some time practicing his skydiving skills in the wind tunnel and promised to post a video of it as well.
“After that, I spent time in the wind tunnel practicing. I’ll post this next to show you my progress,” wrote Hamilton.
The 2021 Formula 1 season will be moved to Azerbaijan for round 6 this weekend, where Hamilton will try to regain his lead in the drivers’ standings from Max Verstappen.
The Red Bull Racing driver dethroned Hamilton from the top at the last round in Monte Carlo, where he won the Monaco Grand Prix for the first time in his career, building a 4-point lead in the 2021 drivers’ championship.
It was the first race of the season in which Hamilton did not finish on the podium.
Verstappen is currently leading with 105 points after victories in Italy and Monaco. Hamilton is second with 101 points with race wins in Bahrain, Portugal and Spain.
